I know that I am loved...

I think that birthday's every year are good for at least one thing (besides gorging yourself multiple times on birthday cake, birthday cupcakes and birthday dinners!)...to know that you are loved by so many.
Every year it just astounds me at all of those who remember my birthday and find ways to say Happy Birthday. (With the invention of facebook - it does make it all easier! ha! nothing like something reminding you and being able to click on that person's name and wishing them happy birthday! ) Thanks to everyone who sent greetings and hugs - especially from those far away -even if you just said them up to the sky becuase you couldn't find me. I REALLY appreciate it. And don't worry if you forgot - trust me - I need no more cake or singing or birthday spankings (when you hit the big 3-1 it takes too long for those spankings unless one counts for 10!)
My staff at work were the cutest....on Monday i showed up to work and they had gotten me my favorite Crave cupcakes and had put them on my desk in the shape of a K with happy birthday candles. The were AWESOME!! (thanks DR!)
Then today my staff at my other client did this (see picture above!). They had a whole party planned - including my other favorite cake (the french vanilla one from Dessert Gallery that weighs around 50 pounds and that is what you will gain if you eat the whole thing!). SS had gone to go buy a happy birthday sign and accidentally gotten the happy anniversary sign...we laughed so hard. i mean, i guess it was the anniversary of my birth! Even better that they put some legal paper that said birthday over it! And CK's sweet wife made chocolate chip pound cake and lemon squares that were awesome. We went out for lunch and then they wanted to take me for drinks after work. i mean, could I get some better staff? I think not. Plus I got flowers. and for those of you who know me, flowers are one of my favorite things. I did ask my staff if we could make that a recurring thing every week. they laughed.
I can't wait to celebrate both PR and my birthday tonight with the girls. We are going to one of our favorite restaurants, la vista (I need to do a blog entry just on that website!) to celebrate. I went and bought three bottles of a new favorite wine just for the occasion. And yes, two of them are just for me! I mean, we need to celebrate, right? Then thursday LM and I are going out to celebrate again...I mean first Jason Mraz and now dinner at another one of my favorite restaurants. i am totally spoiled by my friends!
Anyway, thanks again everyone for all your birthday wishes - I am also thankful to be surrounded by so many wonderful people - I thank God for putting all of you in my life. I pray that this year will be one of good health (no more hospital visits!), good friends, lots of laughter and hopefully a much less stressful work environment! (it doesn't help to wish, does it?) Love to you all....
