what a wonderful weekend!

This weekend was a VERY fun weekend - there were so many fun things going on. On Friday night, KC, SM and I went over to KC's house to prepare for the shower. We drank wine, ate fabulous pizza from Collinas (which is a dangerous thing for me to learn - that they deliver to my neighborhood!) and got things ready for the shower. KC learned NEVER to let me cook in her kitchen again. I think she said (and I quote) - it looks like a hurricane came through here!! But we got everything ready for MD's baby shower the next day! We had a GREAT group of ladies come to celebrate baby Emma and she got lots of fun presents, we had some great food and drank some yummy mimosas (well, for some, non-alcoholic fizzy grape juice!).

Here are the hostesses with MD, getting to love on Baby Emma!
Here is the Reliant Group - where MD worked when she lived in H-town. These girls are so much fun, and Y (who ironically is dressed just like MD) is about one month ahead of MD! Their babies will be playmates I am sure!
Here is MD with LG!
A picture of the table -- totally forgot to take one before we dug into the food! The food turned out to be really good! We had a breakfast strata with sundried tomatoes, and spinach, a casserole with eggs and sausage, and the best hearty cheese cake - that has ham, chives and cheese in it. Then fruit and some muffins too! It was all really great!
Here are the three preganant girls from the shower - MD, her friend N and YS. They are all within a month of each other!

Here is JD and her sweet little daughter who came to play with us. Her daughter was SO cute - wanted all of the ribbons tied to her hands or feet!

Here we are before the shower  - me, KC and Marie.

Then after the shower, KC, LG and I went to go get Mani's and Pedi's at my favorite little nail salon (which always includes a nice shoulder massage when you get a mani!) and I ran off to get my hair cut. It was getting REALLY long and during the summer trying to blow dry it was becoming a big pain!

Then off to watch Miss CD get MARRIED!! I recruited CD at KPMG when I was there, and we have stayed in touch. She ironically met her future husband at one of our clients and she left shortly thereafter. She is such a cute girl, and I absolutely loved getting to be a part of her special day! She was SO VERY beautiful!
Here is the bride and I at the reception!
Here is KF and I - she was in the same recruiting class as CD and started in the same start class at KPMG. She was one of my other favorite recruits (and staff). I was so glad she was there as we got a chance to catch up since I haven't seen her in a while! She looked so cute in her bridesmaid dress!

Then the next day we went to go see JH sing in a concert -- he has an AMAZING voice and decided to try out for this non-profit choir (see post below). They had a concert and I went with LM and his family to listen to the great concert. Here is a picture of LM and JH after the concert!
