If you have never been to Barton Creek Resort in Austin....you need to go. I first went here on a work trip with KPMG and fell in love on that trip. There is something about being in the hills of Austin, surrounded by such great scenery...and not to mention the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Did I also mention that the SPA is amazing, and the pool (and the nice kids who work at the pool bringing you food and drinks) is great too!!! My absolute favorite thing about this place though is the rocking chairs. I have a thing for rocking chairs which is why I need a house with a front (and back!) porch where I can have lots of these....on the back of the "dining room" there are about 30 chairs like this where you can sip a cocktail and watch the sun set, or just hang out. I HEART them.
We went there for JM's bachelorette party and it was such a great time with a fun group of girls. LM and I had to miss out on the Friday night activities due to work, but we were able to catch up with the girls on Saturday for some great pool time and then off to dinner on Lake Travis at the Oasis. Usually the Oasis is known for its views and sunsets....well, it was cloudy so no sunset, and then lake travis is SO low due to the drought so it wasn't as pretty as normal. But it was still a fun time with all the girls catching up and hanging out. The best was after our dinner the "lingerie" party back at the hotel - nothing like a group of girls, dessert by room service and opening presents! SO MUCH FUN!

Here are LM, DC and I. DC used to work at KPMG with us and she lives right by LM! It was so good to catch up with her since I haven't seen her in FOREVER!

Here is ES and LM. ES also used to work at KPMG with us, and she is the wonderful matron of honor who planned the wonderful weekend! Thanks ES - it was a BLAST!

Here is the bachelorette, JM, and two of her friends from Lousiana....

And the best part of the trip was just getting to spend time with LM for the ride up and ride back from Austin....I haven't realized how much I miss my KPMG friends, especially when I don't get to see them everyday...But I am so glad that I got to spend time with these girls last weekend!
