KC's B-day Party

Happy Birthday KC - the birthday girl and me at dinner! It was so fun to get together at our favorite restaurant and getting to hang out and meet all of her friends. We had a fabulous time!

I just wanted to post this quickly as I just stopped for a sandwich at work (sad when you buy groceries and just take them to work with you instead of taking them home and eating them there!) I love these picts- they was from KC's b-day party this weekend. We all looked hot, as usual. ha, ha!

This weekend I hung out with SM - We have gotten to hang out so much lately and I am truly blessed for that. We had a really good time at KC's b-day party at La Vista - one of our FAVORITE restaurants and then went to a local bar for a quick drink with the b-day party attendees....then we went off to meet up with the Midland crowd....long story, but one of my friends from work is from Midland and I just love his friends. So after his b-day party a few weekends ago, I caught up with his old roommate and we were going to meet up with them for a drink. So I dragged SM with me and we had a good time playing with them. I love that they are all friends from high school, still hang out and are just easy to get along with. and they laugh a lot which I really like!!!!

I also met up today for lunch with an old audit manager for lunch (i.e. she was my manager when I was a first year staff!). it was good to get to see her and have her "counsel" me on my work situation. She was in the same boat as me a few years back and it is good to have someone who is on the "other side" give advice - and it wasn't the "life is always better on the other side", but objective which is what I needed. I am just exhausted right now and I know it is busy season and that always brings you down, so it was good to have someone tell me to take some time and really think about what I want.

This week is going to be crazy -- but hopefully I can make some real progress at work so that I can take some time this weekend to relax. It is LM's b-day this weekend and we are going to Kenneallys to celebrate on Friday and I can't wait. I love pizza and mini corn dogs -- and yes, I know that doesn't go with the "lifestyle" change I need to make. I'll just have to go work it off.
