reasons why I love going home....

Besides for the obvious reasons (my parents and friends in Seguin), I love going home to get to hang out at my parents house. I don't know what it is about their house, but as soon as I pull in the drive way, it seems that all of my stress disappears. Especially when I walk straight out back and dip my toes in the water and am surrounded by such beautiful surroundings. My parents are so lucky to have found this house - we all LOVE IT. Especially the multiple decks and built in grill - where we tend to spend most of our meal times -- either cooking on the grill and/or eating outside.

This weekend, after the shower, I walked around and took some pictures of some of my favorite things that I love about the backyard....above, the pool and all of the amazing flowers that surround the pool. The best part, is for some odd reason, I feel like when you sit outside at their house, especially in the back, it is so much cooler than anywhere else and there is always a breeze!!! Plus, the sound of all the nature surrounding you is just almost music to my ears.

I LOVE this tree. I am almost sad we didn't live here as kids so I could have tried to climb it. It covers almost the entire back yard and is so beautiful. There are two others in the front yard that are equally as beautiful...but this one, with its curve and branches that reach out across the yard is amazing.
More pictures of the flowers surrounding the pool. My mom does such an amazing job at keeping the flower beds so beautiful....especially being gone during the week. And there is always so much color, it is just spectacular.
Here are some of the Hibiscus that were blooming. I LOVE these flowers...I was amazed that they were open in the 100+ degree weather!
And these little purple ones are all over the place....they grow like they are wild! But since purple has been one of my favorite colors since I was a child, I am just drawn to them!
And my mom started a garden in the very back....the tomatoes have almost all been picked (and eaten!) but there were lots of these red peppers! We picked some for the party on Saturday to put in our fresh pico di gallo that we had! They were fantastic.
