another first....

this week I had a long talk with my nutritionist. I didn't really lose any weight even though I had worked my butt off at the gym and had eaten really well....but maybe not all of my calories. when you burn close to 900 calories at the gym, it is really hard to eat that, and about an additional 1900....of healthy things. and she said this:

'maybe you need to not work out so much if you can't eat the calories'

whoa. I'm pretty sure that is the first time anyone has EVER told me to not work out as much, and that is a week after she told me to eat more. yes, I am still in some sort of shock. but she is actually so right. another reason my weight loss has plateaued -- because I'm not eating enough and working out maybe too much. But lets be honest...its HARD to find healthy things to eat that build calories. HARD I tell you!

so I am officially slowing down. acutally this week, I have eaten the calories instead...there were things I wanted and I ate it. I'll probably pay for that later - but I haven't had a hambuger and fries in what seems like forever, so I had it. There, I admit it. (I'm working on that not lying about what I eat!)

Otherwise, the announcement has been made. I am officially the Oxy Midcontinent Controller....whatever that means. Basically, same job different business unit....but I'll take it. I'll tell you more about that later...but I am excited. I'm ready to start....so ready to start....and hire some GREAT new staff!

Congratulations Karen!! I know you will be a great boss to your new team!!

Hang in there with the food and exercise! You've come so far and I know you will go even farther! :)
