I wish....

I wish I could say that I took lots of fun pictures this weekend to give you something to look at, however, I JUST got my new camera in this weekend and they didn't send me the HD card to go with it, so I haven't even started dealing with it yet. Yes, I said HD card -- this one can take HD video. Everyone - watch out! Now we can watch you do stupid things on HD video. ha, ha.

If you didn't see it on facebook, in one week my blackberry T button quit working and they had to replace it, I dropped my Palm Pre and they ended up having to replace it, and I put a bottle of water in my purse....with the cap half way off...and ruined my camera. Let's just say, that had to be replaced too. I have the worst luck with electronic devices. Let's just say, I'm lucky that my computer has lasted this long (and why I ended up paying a ton of money for the full protection plan). Yes, I am a walking disaster. I admit it.

Anyway, this weekend was exactly what I needed it to be....laid back and spent with friends. Friday was my day off and I LOVED getting to work out at my leisure, go and run all my errands, and then go for a massage and dinner with LM. We go to the Memorial Hermann Wellness Center where you can get intern massages for $29....it is awesome. I wouldn't say its the best massage I've ever had, however, for $29, it is pretty awesome. Saturday, I got to work out again and then met some old KPMG friends for brunch...it was so much fun. We laughed and talked for hours and it was so much fun to catch up with them.

Then it was time for Miss LJ's 3rd birthday party. It was so much fun to get to meet up with KJ and her family and celebrate L's b-day. It is just fun watching a 3 year old get so excited and just to hear her laughter. I wish I could have captured that on HD video!!! And I love the K family....they have always welcomed me as one of their own and are just so wonderful to be around. They make me laugh with their bantering and are just so gracious....I really HEART them.

And Saturday night I watched the hangover...and laughed so hard I decided whenever I don't want to do an ab workout, I am just going to watch that movie. It was so freaking funny....if you haven't seen it, you MUST go rent it. I promise you, it is totally worth it. Every. Single. Second. well, except when they show the naked chinese man, but other than that, every second.

Sunday I went to church with Miss CC and lunch....it is great to get to spend time with her -- she was one of my FAVORITE staff at KPMG and I really miss getting to see her all the time....and since our bible study is on hold until we finish busy season, I really like getting to spend some time with her. And I like meeting her to go to church....in some ways it takes me back to the good ole college breakaway days, but it is also a little different....Greg is still great, but just not the same as he was back in the day. I can't decide if I really want to keep going to church there or not -- I did get a new pastor at the church I used to go to, and I need to go check him out....but I just haven't had time to do that yet. Or maybe I just haven't made the time yet. We'll see....But the most exciting thing we did on Sunday was LM, TH and I gathered to try to plan our next vacation. We have narrowed it down to the Caribbean, but am not sure exactly where....we were debating San Juan, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, but can't really decide. To be honest, if I can have a pool with a pool boy bringing drinks, then I am happy.

And today was a true Monday....running around with my head cut off, trying to solve everyone's problems and trying to get everyone ready for the week....everyone but me that is. Hopefully, it will be a good week....I am excited to go see my nutritionist on Thursday and see where I stand based on her scale....hopefully I will really like the numbers that I see!!!!!!! I'll report back...
