Can you guess where I went on Labor Day Weekend? and no....it wasn't a normal trip to the Lippe House! ha, ha. I haven't had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my friend AD and her sweet husband and kiddos, so I went over there to spend the day and have a slumber party. It was SO fantastic....and since it was such a fabulous day, we went to the zoo!
All I can say is this -- it is way cooler than I remember, and the Giraffes are HUGE. I mean, I knew they were tall, but seriously. My head didn't even get taller than the top of their legs.
And we got to see the new baby elephant...who was SO STINKING CUTE. He just wanted to play - he was standing in his water bowl, tripped and stumbled and just kept playing with the trainers. So cute.

And the flamingos as always one of my favorites....I don't know why, but they are. I think its because they are beautiful and graceful.
And then on Saturday night I went with my friend CC, her BF and some other friends to Kemah and had a great time. It was so fun to get to hang out and meet some new people and just laugh...a lot.
Here is CC and her sweet boyfriend....aren't they just so cute?!? Have to love them!
It was a fabulous weekend...and just what I needed. A lot of time to rest, a lot of time to catch up with friends, and just to get my life in order...to go straight into one of the busiest work weeks! But thank goodness for a short week!!!!
